Mission Statement

We are a Colorado based organization dedicated to the proposition that fostering personal growth and promoting riparian health go hand in hand in creating a vibrant community and protecting our waterways. Through whitewater competitions, charitable community events and donations, the association encourages personal well-being, environmental stewardship, and a strong sense of community. 501(c)(3) pending.

Stevens-Down Endurance Race, Cache La Poudre River, Bellvue, CO

Join us for the Stevens Down, a thrilling 10.5 mile whitewater race on the Class III to Class IV course that stretches from the Stevens Gulch Picnic Site to the Bridges Take-Out (BTO), nestled in the stunning Cache La Poudre Canyon, located northwest of Fort Collins, Colorado on CO-14.


Intermediate to advanced paddlers.


Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 20, 2026. We'll meet at 11 AM, and the race will kick off at 2:00 PM. 


Pre-registering is encouraged to secure your spot.

We are the Poudre Paddlers, Northern Colorado's canoe and kayak club, based in the Fort Collins-Loveland-Windsor Northern Front Range area. We proudly serve boaters in Denver, Estes Park, and throughout Colorado and beyond. Our activities include canoeing, kayaking, and floating on the Poudre River, the North Platte, the Colorado, as well as various lakes and reservoirs in Northern Colorado. We also organize extended trips to other locations. Join us for exciting Fort Collins events, paddling trips, flatwater and whitewater training, safety classes, and social gatherings focused on environmental and boating access issues. Additionally, we participate in events like the Stevens Down and whitewater race, showcasing some of our favorite paddling destinations.
